DPD Ireland are currently inviting applications for a Hamper Picker and Packer to join our team in Longford. This position will report directly to the Warehouse Supervisor. This is a 3 month fixed term contract.
Responsibilities
- Hamper Building - ensuring quality of packing is maintained
- Picking and packing customer product
- Parcel labelling/relabeling
- Checking goods received
- Put away of goods
- Sorting pallets/preparing for shipping
- Inventory and stock control / cycle counting
- Warehouse housekeeping

Requirements
- Flexibility with regard to working hours is essential

- Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in day-to-day activities and act as a back-up.
- Lead, motivate & supervise team, driving a high-performance culture.
- Manage and organize daily picking requirements and monitors daily operation of warehouse ensuring all orders are completed daily in line with customer commitments.
- Ensure pick, pack, shipments’ and inventory transaction accuracy.
- Demonstrate best practice across all areas of responsibility inspiring people to engage and deliver key business results.
- Mentor the team to allow them to grow their skills and promote development within the team.
- Organise and maintain inventory and storage area.
- Action Operational irregularities / customer complaints, and implement corrective actions.
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
- Participate in the implementation of operational processes and perform work to the standards of Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
- Responsible for ensuring the site is fully compliant with Health & Safety Regulations.
- Assist in the upkeep of customer revenue data streams.
Candidate Requirements
- Must have a minimum 1-year team lead or people management/leadership experience including performance management, annual leave management, absence processes, and developing and motivating team members.
- Flexibility with regard to working hours is essential, working in an offsite warehouse from September to Christmas each year if required.
- Continuous improvement mindset and proven ability to develop procedures and lead change initiatives.
- Self-directed working style and capable of making well-informed decisions.
- Strong communication skills and experience communicating and building relationships with customers.
- Results-driven with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office skills in particular excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Excellent knowledge of English (verbal/written).

We are currently recruiting an IT Helpdesk Technician working as part of the IT Support Team, reporting to the IT Service Desk Manager. This role requires the successful candidate to work onsite; remote working on a rotation basis can be explored after initial training period.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the computer systems and provide technical support to ensure the smooth operation of company systems. As the computing world evolves very quickly and new technologies are always being developed, it is important that the successful candidate keeps IT knowledge up-to-date.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
- Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance upgrades
- Liaise with clients and computer users to determine the nature of problems
- Respond to breakdowns
- Investigate, diagnose and troubleshoot computer software and hardware faults
- Repair equipment and replace parts
- Work to agreed timescales
- Obtain replacement or specialist components, fixtures or fittings.
